Modular buildings on bases with 16 x 32 or 32 x 32 studs are a big topic in the brick community. In some showcases and displays, whole streets of those buildings with removable floors are shown. We have some big "modulars" from Xingbao in our shop assortment, but we from BlueBrixx are also developing such sets themselves.
Today, we officially present the first: Our park with lake and bridge is not a building but fits perfectly into a street. A spot of green in the city is a welcome change and invites you to relax.
Our designer Alexander Jones has integrated all the little details that are typical of such a green space on the street: A fire hydrant awaits the fire department, elegant lanterns provide light at night, a traffic light directs the flow of traffic, trash bins ensure cleanliness and various plants line the pond. The decorated bridge leads over the water at a 45 ° angle, a pleasant shortcut through the small park.
The set consists of 706 parts, some of which were first produced in this color. Brown leaves, for example, that can be perfectly used as branches. The secret star of this set, however, is only apparent if you take a closer look at the edge of the set or the drain holes: The park stands on a 32x32 studded base plate – in black, a new color for such plates.

News from our studio:
A train is pulling in, delivering two more sets from our cooperation with CustomBricks: Marco unloads the Opel Blitz with Sd Ah 52 trailer and decouples the truck transporter, a freight wagon with extra width. Both models are presented in detail and Marco demonstrates that the freight car is tailored exactly to the Opel Blitz.

In our newest Youtube video, Marco presents the first model from our cooperation with CustomBricks: The SdKfz 7-1 of the German Wehrmacht with its rearmounted Flak 38 served as a highly mobile anti-aircraft platform. The design was made by CustomBricks, the 572 parts by us!

As a recent novelty of our fire brigade series, the Seagrave Tiller Ladder was available for the first time in our online shop last Tuesday. Unfortunately, the model was sold out within a few hours.
We are very sorry! We want to apologize to those who did not get the model now. At the time that we planned this series and ordered the necessary parts, we did not know yet if this theme interests our customers. So we approached the theme carefully. Now we know of course that you like these models. From now on, we are planning a little more generously for upcoming models.
Tiller Ladder, like almost all sets that are out of print, will return. Unfortunately, this will take some time. We have reordered the parts that we currently lack. Their production will take a few weeks. Once the parts are in stock, the sets are packed. That works pretty fast.
Then there is the transport. A cargo ship from China spends several weeks on the ocean until it reaches Germany. In total, it takes a good three months until a set is back in Germany. Sometimes it works a bit faster, but only sometimes.
Do you already know our notification function? On every product page of an announced or out of stock set you will find the button "inform me, when available". If you use this button, we will automatically send you an email as soon as the marked product goes on sale.

Our US fire trucks include a large sticker sheet that can be used on all models. Here we explain how to use it. This is what the sheet looks like:
On the sheet you will find the signal stripes for the sides of the vehicle and many symbols with which you can decorate the model. Only a portion of the side stripes is used per vehicle: Each model has a cab ("cab right" and "cab left", top left on the sticker sheet). For the rear of the vehicle either the short stripes in the middle of the sheet or the long stripes on the bottom of the sheet are needed, depending on the model.
First, look at the name of the purchased model, for example "Pierce Quantum Pumper". The car manufacturer "Pierce" gets the number 3 on the sticker sheet. That’s important for the markings of the side strips of the cab. The vehicle type "Pumper" means that you use the short stripes just below the cab stripes for the stern.
How do you cut out the side stripes and stick them on? We’ll demonstrate this for the Pierce Quantum Pumper’s cab:
First, we roughly cut one of the stripes, here shown for the right side of the cab. We leave the sticker sheet on the backing paper. Important: We still need the markings above the stripe, so we cut around them!
As a second step, we divide the side stripe along all markings with the number 3 – 3 for Pierce, the vehicle brand.
For the cab we only need three parts of the stripe: the two ends and the long part with the recess for the wheel arch. We now cut these three stripes along the horizontal edges. The two other stripes are set aside.
At the front end of the cab, the side stripe tapers because of a headlamp, so we cut out that corner.
Likewise, for the middle part, we also clear the opening of the wheel arch.
Now we can carefully loosen the three cut out pieces one after the other from the backing paper and stick them on the model. This works best with small tweezers and a little patience, so that the result looks optimal. Our recommendation is to start with the middle stripe around the wheel arch so you can align the height of the other two stripes on this part.
We cut out the side stripe of the rear in the same way. Our example model is a Pierce Quantum Pumper and this vehicle type is marked with an A. We do not have to cut through the side stripe this time, because the A appears only at the left and right end of the stripe.
Finally, we can decorate the vehicle with a number and national insignia. Here you can be inspired by our product photos. Alternatively, you can search the internet for photos of US fire trucks. The finished model could look like this:

Our BlueBrixx Specials and our range of other manufacturers are very successful – so successful that many sets are currently out of stock. For our own sets, "out of print" only means "will be reproduced in larger numbers". Of course, we also reorder sets of Xingbao, Cobi, Wange and other brands, along with new products from these manufacturers.
At the end of February, a large container will arrive at our facility, filled up to the roof with BlueBrixx Specials and sets from Chinese manufacturers. Keep an eye on our shop and subscribe to our newsletter so you do not miss a thing.
Do you already know of the button "inform, if available"? You can find it on the product page of all sets which are shown as an advance notice in the shop or which are currently not in stock. If you use this button, you will automatically receive an email from us as soon as the marked set is available (again)!
