The 27.5 metre class search and rescue cruisers have particularly extensive equipment and facilities for the maritime search and rescue service (SAR) and an impressive fire-fighting capacity.

They are among the most powerful SAR units of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger, DGzRS), also in international comparison. The search and rescue cruisers of this type are stationed at important points on the German North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts.
From each model sold, 5 euros will be donated to the sea rescuers on the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
