New 8-wheel stake car in our shop!

New 8-wheel stake car in our shop!

Published on 22.01.2019

The assortment of our Bluebrixx Specials is growing continuously: In the next time we will publish at least one new set weekly. This week, among other things, a large stake car or "flat car in standard design with bogies" appears.

Everything bulky can be transported on this car, such as tree trunks, machine parts or containers. The model is also ideal as a basis for your own creations! On the base plate of 6x28 studs you can build everything from your own parts supply: from tanks to containers or passenger compartments.

In 2019, lots of train-themed Bluebrixx Specials will arrive: In addition to a large selection of freight cars, the first locomotives and passenger cars will soon be released. In addition, we will also offer accessories related to railways.

Like this little set of two bumpers. Built sturdily to stop trains, and faithful to the look of their real counterparts. And because bumpers are mounted on rails, we also add two straight rails to this set!

It's not even three months ago that our Youtube channel started off with the first video from our brick-studio. Since then not a week has passed without Marco showing novelties and tricks around our products.

This is well received by the AFOBs, the adult fans of bricks: Last weekend we reached the magical milestone of 1,000 Youtube subscribers! That went incredibly fast, we are very happy about this number. We will continue to produce new weekly videos in our brick-studio, will you watch them all?

Arriving on platform 1: our prototype of the V100 diesel locomotive!

Arriving on platform 1: our prototype of the V100 diesel locomotive!

Published on 13.01.2019

Soon our freight cars will get company – in addition to the first passenger cars, the V100 diesel locomotive has now arrived at our offices. At least as a prototype, like a test locomotive. The model has passed our tests, series production is imminent!

Our V100 has 409 parts, most of them in the classic dark red – the original color of their real-life counterpart. We’ll sell the set without motorization, but an engine block and an infrared receiver can be easily installed. There is no room for a battery box in the chassis. In a horizontally extending cable duct you will be able to lead the connection cable from the locomotive to a freight car or passenger car. There you can install the battery box.

We will demonstrate the installation of the engine components at the release of the set based on photos and a video!

The prototype of our bunker with flak position has arrived!

The prototype of our bunker with flak position has arrived!

Published on 08.01.2019

Due to our new railway sets, two months have passed since the first announcement of this product. Now at last the big brother of our one-man bunker is close to production! As a last step before the start of production we have just received and built the prototype of the set. By doing this we check if the construction manual works well and if all parts are packed correctly - an important final check.

The bunker consists of a protected flak position with a Flak Vierling 38 and a bunker room with manhole in the roof. On the inner wall of the bunker you’ll find a radio and a short staircase leads up to the manhole. The roof is removable for easy access to the interior.

The two parts of the bunker have a modular design and are only connected via two technic pins. Maybe we’ll develop more bunker elements in the future, which you could combine with this set to build big bunker systems!

New version of our train buffer beams – better grip!

New version of our train buffer beams – better grip!

Published on 05.01.2019

Our first freight cars are available for about a month now and are very successful. We are very pleased with their success and are planning a lot of other railway products, from passenger cars to locomotives to buildings and accessories.

With the production of some railroad parts we entered uncharted territory, especially concerning the buffer beams. We tested the magnets’ holding power until we were satisfied with their quality. But nobody is perfect – unfortunately, some buffer beams have problems with the vertically installed metal pin.

This pin sometimes drops down out of the buffer, as seen in the photo. The freight car can then get stuck on switches. This does not apply to all our parts, but we received complaints about them. Our customers have pointed out this issue and we immediately worked on a solution. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Now we have this solution in stock. While the previous pen has a corrugation at its tip (to the left in the picture), the corrugation of new version of the pen sits near the base (as seen on the right side of the picture). Since the lower hole of the buffer beam has a smaller diameter than the upper one, the new pin sits firmly and securely in its holder. The new pen does not change the mobility of the magnet.

At the next production run of the buffer beams, the new pins will be installed. To sets with the previous version of the couplings we are adding two new pins so that the pins can be changed if needed. For this you pull out the old pin, preferably with a pair of pliers or by pushing the pin from above with a suitable object. The new pin is then pushed in from below through the holes of the holder and the magnet.

And what if you already own one or more of our freight cars? It's quite possible that the pins in your buffer beams are working fine. If you notice the problem, please write us using our contact form at the bottom of the page. We will send you an appropriate amount of the new metal pins immediately!

So, for 2019 we have decided to publish a weekly Youtube video, too.

In the first video of the year, Marco introduces you to two special models from the series of our US tanks, a huge floating tank and a fast scouting tank. He also presents a new model: the legendary Jeep! Two automobile companies made more than 600,000 pieces of this car during World War II.
